Lesley Haflich is a fine artist concentrating in oil paintings, which are representational with a fairly impressionistic style. The vibrant, energetic brushstrokes of her paintings give traditional icons of our world a contemporary flair.
Lesley earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Purdue University, graduating in 1977 with highest distinction. After a 20 year career in advertising and sign and display design, she became interested in oil painting and has never looked back. At the Indianapolis Art Center she has taken from Lois Davis, and she has participated in workshops by nationally known artists. After moving her studio from her home to her husband's office, Lesley rented a space at Nickel Plate Arts, 107 S. 8th Street in Noblesville. She can be found there most days challenging her creative boundaries and working on commissioned pieces.
Lesley has been a member of CCA Gallery for 4 years, and she participates in three art fairs a year: Art Fair at the Indiana State Museum, Art Fair on the Square in Noblesville and Penrod in Indianapolis. She is a member of the Hoosier Salon, Indiana Plein Air Painters and Hamilton County Artists' Association.
