Biography
My paintings are expressions of color through layers, graphical elements and botanical impressions. Developing relationships between elements, creating a depth of layers balanced throughout the foreground and background that contrast and compliment a colorfully designed image with an abstract approach. The use of layering techniques that allow the image to transform between viscous and transparent in application creates a desired harmony in my paintings. Most of my images are inspired by botanicals and graphic elements. I am a life long resident of Indiana and currently reside in the Meridian Kessler neighborhood where I work from my home studio. My primary medium is oil on canvas, but I have also been developing acrylics on paper. I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ball State University with a specialization in Graphic Design. I have actively pursued painting as a career since 2017, participating in juried art fairs, festivals, gallery shows and curated events. My work can be seen in homes, hospitals, offices and galleries locally and nationally.
