Biography
Britt primarily paints with oils on canvas but also acrylics on paper. Her background in art began early with painting and drawing, and also included ballet, rhythmic gymnastics, sewing, and a specialization in graphic design.
Britt’s paintings are expressions of color through layers, graphical elements and botanical impressions. Developing relationships between elements, creating a depth of layers balanced throughout the foreground and background that contrast and compliment a colorfully designed image with an abstract approach. The use of layering techniques that allow the image to transform between viscous and transparent in application to create a desired harmony in her paintings.
She has actively pursued painting since 2017 participating in juried art fairs, festivals, gallery shows and curated events. A life long resident of Indiana, who grew up in Pendleton, obtained a BA in Art from Ball State University, and currently resides in Meridian Kessler.
