Deb Achgill

Deb is an Indiana native based in Lafayette, where her passion for glass art first sparked after watching a demonstration of glass fusing and slumping. Inspired by the transformation of simple materials into a graceful, shallow dish, she enrolled in an introductory fused‑glass class—and was immediately hooked.

What began as curiosity quickly grew into a personal artistic pursuit. Deb continued experimenting on her own, developing her technique and exploring the expressive possibilities of glass. Her dedication led her to be accepted into several juried art shows in both Lafayette and Indianapolis, where her work captured the attention of collectors who now proudly display her pieces in their homes.

Color, pattern, and harmony are central to Deb’s creative process. She spends countless hours studying how different hues and textures interact, always searching for combinations that feel balanced and visually compelling. 

Deb’s creations range from functional objects to purely decorative works, each one crafted with intention and a deep appreciation for the medium. In November 2014, her artistry was recognized with acceptance into Indiana Artisan, a distinction that celebrates the state’s finest makers.
