In the world of artistry, Dee is your guide to a fusion of watercolors and calligraphy, where every stroke narrates its own tale.
Although she initially pursued art at the Herron School of Art, she ultimately opted for a career in teaching. However, later in life, her husband surprised her with a calligraphy set, which sparked a newfound passion for sharing her art with others after he encouraged her to sell her creations.
At Gifts That Give Studio, Dee specializes in watercolor renditions of university landmarks, custom projects, and teaching brush lettering and dip pen calligraphy. Her inspiration stems from her travels, quotes, Bible verses, lyrics, books, nature, and podcasts.
Beyond her art, Dee is committed to giving back. She donates 10% of her profits to charities she's passionate about, including SpringHill Camp, The Hope Center, Wheeler Mission, her church, and Ball State University.
